VDC office torched

BHADRAPUR, May 9: Kirant Janabadi Workers’ Party cadres set a VDC office on fire in Jhapa district at 9:30 p.m. Saturday.



The office based at Duwagadi of the district was completely destroyed in the incident. Three rooms, furniture and documents in the office were damaged.



The damage is estimated to be around Rs 2.8 million, according to Police Inspector Devi Prasad Fago of Kakadbhitta Area Police Office.



Police discovered a hand written leaflet of the party from the incident site, said Fago.



The site is 12-km away from district headquarters Chandragadhi.
