KATHMANDU, May 18: Spanish premier division football clubs Valencia FC on Sunday wore jerseys with names of their players written in Nepali alphabet. Valencia wore such jersey during its match against Celta Vigo in La Liga, the permier division league, of Spain on Sunday. The jerseys will be auctioned to raise funds for the victim of the earthquake in Nepal.
Valencia in its official website has mentioned that: Valencia CF launched a new charitable initiative along with the Red Cross this weekend, as the player names on the team's shirts for the game against Celta Vigo were printed in Nepali. The aim is to auction these one-off shirts to raise funds to alleviate the damage caused by the natural disaster that has devastated Nepal, requiring worldwide collaboration."The team has won La Liga titles for six occasions and seven Copa del Rey trophies.
Valencia CF played 1-1 draw against Celta Vigo on Sunday.
