"We have decided to take a flexible policy in connection of new government formation," UML General Secretary Ishwar Pokharel told reporters after the meeting at party head office in Balkhu.[break]
A three-party meeting is scheduled to take place later on Monday to discuss the government formation.
He said the party meeting welcomed the decision to bring the Maoist combatants under the government-formed special committee as a major development toward taking the peace process to a logical conclusion.
The party also demanded that the government punish Devi Prasad Regmi who had last week slapped party chairman Jhalanath Khanal.
