KATHMANDU: The Central Committee (CC) meeting of the second largest ruling party, CPN-UML, which was scheduled to be held on Tuesday, was postponed until December 22, citing the need of more time to prepare documents to be presented in the meeting, according to party sources. UML General Secterary Jhala Nath Khanal will submit his political report and former General Secretary Madhav Kumar Nepal will present a concept paper on the restructuring of the country into a federal model in the rescheduled meeting.
The CC meeting will mainly focus on the party’s upcoming eighth General Convention scheduled to be held in Butwal for five days starting February 16, 2009.
