UDAYAPUR, March 20: Chairman of Udayapur, Chaudandi VDC UML Village Committee, Bam Bahdur Rai was kidnapped by the Kirant Janabadi Workers´ cadres from his home on Friday night.
A resident of Chaudandi VDC-7, Mr Rai was reportedly kidnapped for not giving donations as demanded by the group, according to his daughter-in-law Meena Rai.
Meanwhile, the CPN-UML, Udayapur has issued a statement calling for immediate and unconditional release of Mr Rai.
