UK envoy meets NC prez

KATHMANDU, Jan 5: British Ambassador to Nepal John Tucknott met Nepali Congress (NC) president Sushil Koirala at the later’s residence at Maharajgunj on Wednesday morning.



During an hour long talks, envoy Tucknott discussed current political situation, constitution writing, new government formation and peace process after the departure of UNMIN.[break]



According to Koirala’s personal secretary Laxman Dhakal, Tucknott was particularly concerned about the fate of peace process after UNMIN’s exit on January 15.



“Koirala assured that political parties would settle the problems and work towards constitution writing and concluding the ongoing peace process,” Dhakal said.
