Tusal, Samajik start B Div League with wins

KATHMANDU, Jan 29: Tusal Club and Samajik Yuva Club started the Martyrs Memorial Red Bull B Division League campaign on a winning note on Tuesday.



Tusal defeated United Youth Club 3-0 while Samajik beat Brigade Boys Club 1-0 at the Halchowk Ground on Tuesday. Both United Youth and Brigade Boys were relegated to B division last year. [break]



Tusal, which was in the sixth place on B Division League last year, dominated United Youth and produced all three goals in the second half. Nir Bahadur Aale scored a brace and Dhiraj Shrestha added one. Aale scored his first in the 48th minute and the second in the 72nd minute.



Shrestha netted club´s second goal in the 66th minute.

Likewise, Sabin KC´s 67th minute goal sealed the 1-0 victory for Samajik Yuva against Bridgade Boys. Samajik was in the eighth position last year.

Shree Kumari and Satdobato Youth Club had won their respective matches of the B Division League on the opening day on Monday. Altogether 13 clubs are participating in the B Division League after Star Club and Koilapani Polestar pulled out of the tournament.



As Star and Koilapani have automatically been relegated, the rock bottom team will only be relegated from B Division. The winner of the league will be promoted to A Division.
