Talking to RSS, Thakur said the coordinator of the government talks team and Minister for Peace and Reconstruction Rakam Chemjong had sent a letter on Thursday and the group will take part in the talks scheduled for Saturday.
He said the agreements reached in the past talks have not been implemented and that is why the talks this time around will be held in the presence of journalists. He hoped that the talks would be decisive this time.
Meanwhile, the Janatantrik Tarai Mukti Morcha’s Chairman Rajiv Jha said the group has also received the government’s letter but the group will not attend the talks.
He said there is no meaning of talks as the government did not stop arresting the activists of the group, against the past agreement not to make any arrest during the talks period.
