BIRATNAGAR, April 21: Four student unions here have warned of taking to the streets if the District Education Office failed to take action against the private schools charging exorbitant tuition fees.

Students affiliated to the ruling CPN-UML, UCPN (Maoist), the main opposition Nepali Congress and CPN (Maoist) made the statement through a press release issued here Wednesday. They have charged schools in Morang of charging tuition fees as per their liking as the new academic session just kicked off.

The District Education Office has also been charged of remaining ignorant of repeated calls to ensure that the institutional school fee determination and standard guidelines 2072 B.S. is enforced. The students unions have warned to stern agitation if their demands were not met immediately.
