Students’ painting exhibition concludes with performance art

KATHMANDU, Jan 3: The five-day art exhibition titled 'Hami Uthne Chhau' being held at Nepal Art Council in Baber Mahal concluded on Sunday. Actor Saroj Khanal and singer Komal Oli were present as the chief guests for the closing ceremony of the exhibition by students of Tribhuvan University.

The exhibition was launched by actor Rajesh Hamal who unveiled the logo of 'Hami Uthne Chhau' on Wednesday, December 30. The 19 artists, who are Master's level students in the second semester, exhibited more than 70 paintings.Students closed the event with a performance art about nature and country. The performing students were Bikash Shrestha, Dipak Mehta, Dhruva Raj Sharma, Pramila Lama and Upakar Dhamala. Present among the audience were theater artistes Rajan Khatiwada from Mandala Theater and Ghimire Yubaraj from Shilpee Theater.
