“A coach should be allowed to choose players and assign them roles that suit them. But the management fielded players against my wish,” said the coach. Meanwhile, assistant coach Narottam Shakya denied that Lopsang had quit his job.

“We are still to discuss the issue with him,” Shakya said.

Ghale´s remark ruffles ANFA feathers

The All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) has expressed serious concern over the recent remark of Manang Marshyangdi Club (MMC) President Tashi Ghale. Ghale had accused ANFA and referee of conspiring to bar his side from lifting the trophy after his team´s 1-1 draw to New Road Team on Tuesday.

“Ghale´s accusation against ANFA is baseless,” ANFA said in a statement issued on Thursday. ANFA has also warned Ghale not to give such remark in future.
