A meeting of the Press Chautari´s central secretariat took a decision to this end on Monday.
Sanghu Weekly´s editor Budhathoki would be honored with Hridaya Chandra Singh Pradhan Memorial Prize, Aryal with Agnishikha Memorial Journalism Prize and late Thapa with Birendra Shah Active Journalism Prize.
General Secretary of Chautari Bishnu Rijal said Budhathoki and Aryal would be given a purse of Rs 15,001 each while Thapa would get Rs 7,501 in cash.
All the three prizes founded by the Chautari would be presented on the World Press Freedom Day (May 3) every year.
Monday is the founding day of the Chautari, journalists´ association close to the CPN (UML). The Press Chautari Nepal turned 15 on Monday.
