Speaking at a programme organized to mark the Sixth Anniversary of the Agniban Weekly in the capital city on Saturday, they said the major parties should take initiatives to join the dissent ones in the election process. [break]
During the programme, Nepali Congress leader Arjun Narsingh KC said the CA election should be held in the slated time frame and it should not be disrupted just because a handful of political parties did not want it. He also expressed commitment to make CA election inclusive to represent the voice of all sort of people in the CA.
Similarly, leader of the Rastriya Prajatantra Party Dr. Prakash Chandra Lohani, said the CA election held without bringing the poll opposing political parties in the election process would have no meaning, so that the election should be held after forging political consensus among all.
Leader of the Unified CPN (Maoist), Hit Bahadur Tamang, said that the CA election was inevitable to free the country from the current political and constitutional impasse.
Ravin Prasad Thapaliya, editor and publisher of the weekly, said the journalists should report independently to end social malpractices.
