Metropolitan Police Range Office, Kathmandu, had arrested Yadav, a Constituent Assembly member from Rautahat-4, on Friday afternoon. Yadav is currently under detention at the Metropolitan Police Sector Office, Anamnagar.

Police claimed that Yadav, a CA member belonging to the Nepali Congress, was arrested in a "compromising" position in a massage parlor. Three young women and one in her 30s were also arrested from the massage parlor located behind Kanti Children´s Hospital. Police officers on duty during the raid said four other ´big´ men fled the scene without even collecting their clothes after learning that police had raided the parlor.

As per the existing legal provision, the Chief District Officer can slap a maximum fine of Rs 10,000 or a 35-day jail term or both. It is up to the CDO to determine the fine amount and jail term.

Superintendent of Police Nawa Raj Silwal, chief of Metropolitan Police Range Office, Kathmandu, said they will produce CA member Yadav at the DAO, Kathmandu, to seek his remand pending legal action.
