According to organizers, the Yatra will begin on January 14 -- when NTY will be officially opened -- from Tundikhel in Kathmandu and after passing through major tourist spots it will conclude at Pokhara, where other air events are to be organized.
Stephen Shresth, the promoter of Avia Club said paramotors will fly to Hetauda, Chitwan, Lumbini and Palpa completing 350 km distance in nine hours before converging in the Lake City of Pokhara.
"This event will be selected for the first time in South Asia as an innovative way of promoting tourism to mark the tourism year," said Shrestha.
More than 20 pilots from one dozen countries including Russia, Israel, Brazil and France are taking part in the event.
An air sport competition is also scheduled to be organized on the concluding day of the event in Pokhara.
"Paramotor rides will play significant role in promoting local tourist spots at international level," said Rajesh Bamjon, chairman of NAA.
He also demanded that the government make separate policy to encourage professional air sports.
