KALIKOT, Dec 28: One person has gone missing after a dozer veered off its path and plunged into the Karnali River. The dozer and its co-driver suffered this accident on Friday evening while towing a dozer from Chatebagar, Pachal Jharana-8, Kalikot to Jarkot, Ward No. 4.
The dozer overturned in the Karnali River while going from Chatebagar, Pachal Jharana Rural Municipality-8 to Jarkot. One person along with the dozer went missing and the dozer driver was rescued by the police and locals while floating in the river, informed Alkina Bam, vice-chairperson of Pachal Jharana Rural Municipality.
Information Officer of the District Police Office, Kalikot, Govinda Chaudhary, said that the dozer driver, who was from Khandachak Municipality-8, Kalikot, has been rescued safely while the co-driver is yet to be found. He said, “The driver has been rescued safely. The co-driver and the dozer have not been found yet.”
The District Police Office, Kalikot, has stated that the police are continuing the search.
