One killed in Dhading truck plunge

DHADING, Feb 1: The driver was killed on the spot  and another man injured  when a mini-truck loaded with fresh vegetables skidded off the road at Thakre VDC-3, Mahadevbeshin along the Prithvi Highway on Friday morning.



The deceased has been identified as Ram Kumar Chaudhary, 30, of Jeetpur, Bara. Another man who was critically injured in the incident, has been sent to Kathmandu for treatment.



The ill-fated truck (Na 4-Kha 8933), which veered off the road and fell some 60 meters down into Maheshkhola, was heading to Kathmandu from Lalbandi, Sarlahi district.
