Oli, Deuba hold talks

KATHMANDU, Jan 28: Senior Nepali Congress (NC) leader Sher Bahadur Deuba and CPN-UML leader KP Sharma Oli on Friday morning held a ´secret´ meeting to discuss formation of a new government. In the meeting held at the Everest Hotel, Baneshwar.



The leaders are learnt to have discussed formation of government based on democratic alliance under Deuba´s leadership. [break]



According to sources, the two leaders have also agreed not to give government leadership to the Maoists until the peace process concludes.



Deuba held an informal meeting with the party´s Central Working Committee (CWC) members and lawmakers close to him after his meeting with Oli later in the day.



The meeting has decided to take initiatives to endorse the name of Deuba as the new prime ministerial candidate from the party.
