Poudel, NSU leader of Tri Chandra College, was detained for his alleged involvement in attacking Samir Badal, Bagmati zone secretary of All Nepal National Free Students Union (ANNFSU) -- a student wing of the ruling CPN-UML, with khukuri knives on April 12.
