KATHMANDU, Dec 22: Having suffered a gradual fall in the recent past days, the Nepal Stock Exchange index on Thursday witnessed a slight improvement with the index increasing by 4.78 points to close at 1475.41 points.
An increment in share prices of Nepal Telecom is said to be the push behind the improvement.

Rs 502.2 million worth of 769,000 shares of the total 138 companies were traded.
Share price of banking sector increased by 0.21, development bank by 0.38, production sector by 1.62 and other groups by 2.74 percent. On the other hand, share value of hotel decreased by 1.25, hydropower by 0.87, finance by 0.5 and insurance companies by 0.14 percent. RSS
