The decision comes a day after the Ministry of Home Affairs formed a three-member panel to probe the incident.
The scuffle at the campus regarding a tender ended up last Sunday with All Nepal National Free Students´ Union (ANNFSU) members allegedly opening fire and burning down two office rooms.
Ten NSU members were injured in the incident, one receiving a bullet in his leg.
NSU President Pradeep Paudel said in a press meet that the campaign was postponed to help the panel led by joint attorney Durga Bandhu Pokharel investigate the case.
