The expo also has on display latest technologies required for power industry such as temperature control, timers etc.
The expo will help people grasp latest developments in the electrical industry and will help entrepreneurs promote their products, said Minister for Energy Post Bahadur Bogati.
According to Dilip Kumar Jain, treasurer of Federation of Electrical Entrepreneurs of Nepal, the expo has mainly targeted to promote energy saving devices as Nepal has been facing power shortage.
“The main objective of the expo is to make people aware of the electrical items available in the market, introduction of latest technologies, as well as to make the public understand the importance of electronic usage while conserving energy methods.
The organizers have targeted 200,000 visitors during a 5-day long expo in which around 70 exhibitors have showcased their products.
Entry fee to the expo is Rs 30 for general visitors while students will have to pay only Rs 15.
