KATHMANDU, Dec 26: The main opposition party Nepali Congress (NC) has said it will boycott the regular session of the parliament on Friday as well, since Prime Minister and CPN-Maoist Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal failed to provide a convincing response to the NC´s concern, mainly returning land seized by Maoists during the insurgency to the lawful owners.
"PM Dahal said the Maoists would like to settle the land seizure problem by forming a parliamentary committee but we could not agree on that proposal," said Dr. Ram Sharan Mahat, Nepali Congress leader. "Therefore NC will continue boycotting the parliament."
