KATHMANDU: An informal meeting of the Nepali Congress (NC) parliamentary party on Sunday decided to continue with parliament boycott until Prime Minister and Maoist Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal supplies convincing answers to its concerns.

NC chief whip Laxman Ghimire said, “We were compelled to take such a decision as Maoists continue to breach past commitments.”

The NC had boycotted the parliamentary proceedings last Thursday alleging that the CPN (Maoist) failed to implement past commitments. The CPN (Maoist) in a 9-point agreement with the NC last month had pledged to return all seized property by December 15 and dissolve the paramilitary structure of the YCL among other things.
