Maoist student leader tells workers to attack opponents

KATHMANDU, Feb 1: Lekhnath Neupane, the chairman of All Nepal National Independent Students´ Union-Revolutionary (ANNISU-R), Maoist student wing, on Sunday instructed the union´s workers to "break the back" of anyone coming in the way of the union.



"Free Students´ Union (FSU) elections are taking place soon. If anyone creates hindrances during our election campaign, don´t hesitate to break their backs. The center (leadership of the union) will take the responsibility," Neupane said in an interaction held in Dang district, reported Kantipur FM.



Speaking at the same function, Minister for Information and Communications Krishna Bahadur Mahara claimed that the interfering role of "imperialists" has fueled the ongoing dispute between the national army and the government.
