“Given the increasing overhead cost of LPG bottling firms, we have no option but to push Nepal Oil Corporation to increase our commission,” Shiva Ghimire, president of Nepal LPG Industries Association, told a press meet on Monday. “We were forced to announce protest programs after the government ignored our demands.”

The bottlers have announced protest programs even though the Ministry of Commerce and Supplies (MoCS) on Friday formed a talk team under the leadership of joint secretary Deepak Subedi.
They have also said they won"t implement dual-color LPG cylinder. The government has already announced that it would implement dual-color LPG cylinders from mid-June.
“We are not in a position to implement the dual-color LPG cylinders as planned by the government as it is going to be enforced through guidelines instead of new act,” said Ghimire.
The bottlers have unveiled series of protest programs starting Tuesday. They have announced that they would go to the extent of bringing imports and distribution of LPG to a grinding halt.
