BANIYANI, JHAPA, Sept 19: A local press club based at Mechninagar of Jhapa has set up two journalism awards.
The club set up 'Mechinagar Journalism Award' with a cash prize of Rs 11,111 and 'Journalism Motivation Award' carrying a prize of Rs 5,555.
A decision was been taken to confer the Mechninagar Journalism Award to journalist Laxmi Upreti. Journalist Pratik Neupane will be honoured with Journalism Motivation Award, Club Chairman Santosh Acharya said.
The awards will be handed over on the occasion of the club's second convention on September 22.(RSS)
