KATHMANDU, Feb 28: A taskforce formed to resolve problems in education sector has recommended scrapping of license for teachers of public schools, reported Sagarmatha TV Saturday evening.

So far, permanent teachers were required to have license to teach in the schools. Some private schools had also begun demanding the same from their teachers.

The taskforce which is submitting its report to the education minister on Sunday has also recommended that temporary teachers should henceforth need to compete to gain permanent job status.
