KATHMANDU, March 21: Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) Chairman Rabi Lamichhane filed an appeal at the Patan High Court on Friday. He submitted the appeal at 11 AM, challenging the Kathmandu District Court's January 16 order in connection with the Swarnalaxmi Cooperative fund embezzlement case.
On January 16, the Kathmandu District Court ordered Lamichhane to deposit Rs 6 million as bail. Dissatisfied with the decision, he is appealing under Section 73 of the Criminal Procedure Code, urging the court to nullify the bail order under Section 68 and allow him to releases on one's own recognizance as per Section 69.
