KDFA Academy defeated Chandra Bhairav Club ´B´ 7-1 in the final match played at the Dasharath Stadium on Tuesday. Winner KDFA Academy received Rs 100,000 while Chandra Bhairav bagged Rs 50,000.[break]
Roshan Dura scored four goals for KDFA Academy while Pradeep Rai, Hari Tamang and Sushant Shrestha scored a goal each for the winning team. Dura scored in the 37th, 44th and 56th minutes to complete his hat-trick and added one more in the 70th minute of the match.
Bibek Desar scored a consolation goal for Chandra Bhairav in the 69th minute of the match.
Roshan Gurung of KDFA Academy was adjudged the best goalkeeper while his teammates Kiran Jung Shahi and Sushant Shrestha were adjudged the best defender and best forward respectively. Suraj Chitrakar of Chandra Bhairav won the best midfielder award. Devendra Jung Shahi, the coach of the winning team, was adjudged the best coach.
Nepal Bank Limited General Manager Kiran Kumar Shrestha handed over the prizes to the winners.
Altogether 83 U-15 teams of different clubs, schools and wards of Kathmandu Valley had participated in the tournament.
