According to Pushkar Shah, president of Tour De Lumbini, the event is open to all. "Riders can make voluntary contribution for reconstruction of heritage sites," he added.
The 'Heritage Ride' will connect all seven cultural world heritage sites of Kathmandu Valley. The ride begins from Basantapur Durbar Square and will head to nearby Soyambhunath Temple. From there, it will move toward Pashupatinath Temple, Bouddhanath Stupa, Changunaryan Temple, Bhaktapur Durbar Square and Patan Durbar Square, before returning to Basantapur."There will be live traditional music at the concluding ceremony. Similarly, participants will light candle in memory of people who lost their lives in the earthquake," added Shah.
