RASUWA, March 17: A helicopter of Fishtail Air met with an accident while taking off from Langtang, Rasuwa district on Thursday. Fortunately, the only crew member managed to escape with minor injuries.
According to Chief District Officer Krishna Prashad Adhikari, the helicopter was returning to Dhunche of the district after unloading construction materials in Langtang.
"The mishap took place due to some error in its rotor during the return trip to Dhunche," he informed. Derup Tamang, who witnessed the accident, said "As soon as the helicopter's rotors started moving, it flipped over toward the ground."

The chopper with the call sign AJI-B3 was operated by a Swedish pilot. He managed to escape the incident with a minor injury.
"We didn't find a place to pull him out, so we broke its windows and rescued him," Tamang further added.
Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Fishtail Air Suman Pandey said that the chopper lost balance and turned turtle while taking off. Immediately after the incident, another chopper of Fishtail Air was dispatched to the site for rescue.
