Envoy Rae inaugurates school building, college library in Tanahun

KATHMANDU, March 21: Indian Ambassador to Nepal Ranjit Rae on Saturday inaugurated the newly-constructed building of Shree Shiva Saraswati Higher Secondary School in Tanahun district.

The Indian Embassy in Kathmandu said in a statement that the infrastructure, including supply of furniture and computers, was funded by the government of India’s grant assistance of Rs 22.23 million under Small Development Project scheme.

The school established in 1975 is situated at a remotest corner of Damauli VDC caters around 726 students; out of which 60% students are girls. The funded project aimed to help the school meet increasing need of students from and nearby villages.  

On the same day, envoy Rae also inaugurated a two-storey library building for Shree Adikabi Bhanubhakta Multiple Campus, Damauli.

The library building was also constructed through the India’s grant assistance of Rs 10.9 million.
