Driver killed in freak accident

MAHENDRANAGAR, Jan 17: One person was killed in a truck accident that occurred at Satbanjh area along Darchula-Baitadi road section in Baitadi district Friday night. The truck (Se 1 Kha 545) driver Man Singh Thagunna, 35, died on the spot as the truck skidded 50 meter down the road when he was busy fixing its technical snags. Late Thagunna hails from Sipti VDC in Darchula. His body has been taken to district hospital for post mortem, according to Baitadi district police chief Ram Dutta Joshi.
