KATHMANDU: Talks between the government and Tarai Virus Killers, a little known armed group operating in the Tarai, started at the Ministry of Peace and Reconstruction in Singh Durbar at 4 p.m., Thursday.
Minister for Peace and Reconstruction Janardan Sharma is leading the government talks team. Minister for Local Development Ram Chandra Jha and Minister for Education Renu Yadav are other members in the government talks team.
Dialogue with Tarai Virus Killers set to begin
The talks team of the armed group arrived in Kathmandu on Wednesday evening. Jay Prasad Yadav is leading the talks team of the group, said our correspondent from the talks venue. Amendra Goit, Surendra and Bishal are other members in the talks team of the group.
In October, the government had formed a team to hold dialogue with several armed groups operating in the Tarai.
