Speaking at a program on Monday, CNI President Binod Kumar Chaudhary said the confederation will have 10 new districts and zonal chapters in the near future. “We are expanding out chapters especially in industrial corridors and places regarded as special economic zones,” added Chaudhary.[break]
Stating that CNI has been expanding its institutional identity, expertise and network in its decade-long journey, Chaudhary said they were opening new chapters to further enhance the CNI movement to promote industrial sector of the country,” he added.
CNI already has district chapters in Rupandehi, Chitwan, Makwanpur and Surkhet.
“We have decided to form a national level coordination committee to further expand out chapters,” Chaudhary said.
He also vented anger on the government agencies for generalizing problems of a certain industry or businessman and demoralizing the entire business community.
The CNI officials also came down heavily on the Nepal Rastra Bank and Ministry of Finance (MoF) for creating confusion among general public. They blamed the central bank and the ministry for not maintaining effective communication with media and public on issues of national importance.
