CAB-Nepal nominated for Beyond Sport Awards

KATHMANDU, June 1: Cricket Association of the Blind, Nepal (CAB-Nepal) has been shortlisted for the Beyond Sport Awards 2013 in the Sport for Social Inclusion Award category. According to CAB-Nepal, it has been nominated as one of the four best associations of the world out of nearly 400 organizations from 125 countries. CAB-Nepal has been nominated for its inclusion of blind women in cricket. [break]



A Ganar - World Wide, an Indian organization named Yuwa and Soccer Without Borders USA are the other nominees in the category.

Pawan Ghimire, the chairman of CAB-Nepal, will represent Nepal at the awards ceremony to be held in Philadelphia, USA from September 9 to 11.

Beyond Sport is an UK-based organization, which has been organizing the global sports award since 2009.



The winner of each category will get funding and business support, and access to Beyond Sport´s global network.
