Black marketeer nabbed

KATHMANDU, Feb 21: Police on Sunday nabbed a person for selling Removable Users´ Identification Module (RUIM) cards of Nepal Telecom´s Skyphone on the black market.



Prakash Budhathoki of Kavre district was arrested while he was selling RUIM cards on high price. Budhathoki said he used to buy RUIM card from NT´s Teku office at Rs 1,700 each and sell them at higher price. He said employees at the office Shrikrishna Baniya, Kalpana Gyawali, Ganesh Gautam and Ichchharam Thapa had sold him the RUIM Cards.



“They wanted Rs 2,000 for each RUIM card. But we settled at Rs 1,700 each,” Budhathoki said, adding that he had already sold 10 RUIM cards. He said he was selling the cards for as much as Rs 2,500 each.
