Transportation, major market places, schools and colleges have been closed down.

Night buses en-route to the Kathmandu Valley ferrying passengers have been blocked at the Kalanki junction. Commuters are seen walking on foot to their destinations. However, vehicles belonging to press, hospitals, diplomatic affairs and drinking water have been allowed.
The allaince has imposed banda as part of protest against the coming next CA elections slated for November 19 including the recently hiked price in the petroleum products.
The security personnel have been deployed at different thoroughfares to avert possible untoward incidents.
The banda is said to last till 5 pm today.
