ADB director general visits Nepal

KATHMANDU, June 20: Sultan Hafeez Rahman, Director General of the South Asia Department of the Asian Development Bank (ADB), arrived Kathmandu on Monday to discuss future assistance programs in the country.



A press statement issued by ADB Nepal Resident Mission says that Rahman will meet senior government officials and discuss ADB´s current and future assistance programs with focus on the energy and education sectors. [break]



He is scheduled to discuss opportunities for strengthening regional economic cooperation and will meet with representatives of development partners and hold discussions on a range of development issues and challenges facing Nepal.



Rahman was ADB Country Director in Nepal from 2003-2006.
