3 nabbed for heist in cooperatives

KATHMANDU, June 30: Police on Tuesday arrested three individuals for their involvement in a heist at Cooperatives.

The arrested are Meklal Tamang, 22, from Bhalche-9 in Nuwakot, Sunil Tamang, 22 and Maniraj Kafle, 32, according to the Nepal Police Metropolitan Crime Division.The trio had looted the cash amounting to Rs 700,000 and 43 tolas of gold from Janamilan Cooperatives situated at Samakhusi, Kathmandu on April 26, the second day of the Gorkha quake.

A team of police mobilized by the Crime Division nabbed the trio from Samakhusi and seized the amount buried in the Shivapuri forest at Tokha Municipality -2 in the capital city after the interrogation, police said. RSS
