KATHMANDU, March 15: Following Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli's return to Baluwatar after his second kidney transplant, a section of the ruling Nepal Communist Party leaders has resumed their internal lobby to appoint Bam Dev Gautam as an upper house member. They want to exert pressure on PM Oli for the same once his health improves.

KATHMANDU, Feb 29: A majority of ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP) Secretariat members have mounted pressure on Prime Minister KP Oli, who is also chairman of the party, to nominate Bamdev Gautam as an upper house member as decided earlier by the secretariat. Oli is seen to be on the defensive now that his once trusted colleague Bishnu Poudel has also joined the gang of top NCP leaders demanding that Gautam be picked for the upper house.

KATHMANDU, Feb 28: Finance Minister Yuba Raj Khatiwada has hinted that he would be re-nominated as a member of upper house and would continue to work as a minister.
