KANCHANPUR, Nov 29: Nepali Congress leader and a candidate to the House of Representatives from Kanchanpur-2, NP Saud has stated that the unnatural alliance of two communist parties will push the nation toward instability.

In one country a 7.8 quake leaves a path of devastation, collapsing homes and twisting roads; in another, the same magnitude earthquake takes few lives and destroys almost no buildings.

KATHMANDU, Oct 4: Ruling Nepali Congress (NC) party leaders have termed the electoral alliance between ruling CPN (Maoist Center) and main opposition CPN-UML as well as other forces as unnatural and undemocratic.

The citizenship provisions of the new constitution have remained contested in Nepal.  While there had been voices for equality in citizenship provisions from several quarters, the major political parties had stood on the same page as far as certain restrictions on naturalized citizens were concerned.
