DAMAULI (TANAHUN), March 27: A concrete bridge has been constructed over the Trishuli River connecting Devghat Rural Municipality of Tanahun and Bharatpur Metropolitan City of Chitwan. The bridge was constructed at the cost of Rs 216.848 million.

Some 20 passengers are still missing after the accident. The bus (Na 6 Kha 4769) is said to have skidded 200 meters down the highway at around 3.30 am.

CHITWAN, May 29: The Mugling section under the Prithivi Highway will be closed for 14 days starting tomorrow (May 30). The road will be shut to allow a smooth construction of the arch bridge above the Trishuli river linking Chitwan and Tanahun districts, read a notice issued by the bridge planning mid-area sector number two.

RASUWA, Sept 3: The road leading up to Rasuwagadhi border point in the northern frontier is all set to reopen on Monday.The road recently damaged by the flood in the Trishuli River is all set to open after a landmass which blocked the road at Khopangbhir of Gosainkunda Rural Municipality was blasted off by the Nepal Army on Sunday.

GORKHA, Sept 2: The Chepang communities of Gorkha were hopeful that their villages would be linked by road when former Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai laid foundations stone for a concrete bridge over Trishuli River three years ago. The construction work was contracted to Pappu Construction Pvt Ltd at a price tag of Rs 174 million. But there has been little headway in the project, with no sign of completion anytime soon.
