Five days after the government signed nine-point agreement with Dr Govinda KC, who was on 27th day of his 15th hunger strike demanding crucial reforms in health and medical education, a key point of the nine-point agreement faces the risk of not being implemented.

KATHMANDU, June 25: In a controversial move, the Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC) has asked the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN) to allow convicted senior captain Subarna Awale to resume working as pilot. Awale was earlier fined Rs 10 million by the Kathmandu District Court for misusing foreign currency.

This comes in the wake of reports that RPP (D) is picking then Minister for Supplies Deepak Bohora, who is alleged to have masterminded the controversial land procurement deal of the state-owned NOC.
