Flexibility—alongside cardiovascular activities and strength—is one of the six pillars of fitness. (The other three are nutrition, rest and meditation.) Being more flexible can improve your balance and stability, reduce your chances of being heavily injured (even after a serious accident) and prevent arthritis in the long run.
