BAJURA, September 3: The children of governmental, non-governmental staff and people's representatives have been barred from studying in private boarding schools.

KATHMANDU, June 7: The Poverty Alleviation Fund (PAF) on Tuesday said that the government has not brought any specific program for poverty alleviation in the budget for the Fiscal Year 2017/18.

A committee led by National Planning Commission (NPC) Vice Chairman Min Bahadur Shrestha, formed to look into the possible modality for developing Kathmandu-Tarai Fast Track Road Project, study whether the DPR prepared by the IL&FS could be of any use, and find possible sources of financing, submitted its report to Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal on Monday. The government had formed the committee on November 21 after terminating all agreements and contracts with the Indian consortium led by Infrastructure Leasing and Financial Services (IL&FS) regarding the development of the fast-track project.  Below is the gist of the report that Shrestha shared with Republica's Sagar Ghimire:
