With so many of us planning (note the word "planning") to be good and cut back on sugar, hit the gym, go for a walk at lunch every day, take up a new hobby or play a new sport - resolutions are on the brain.

Resolutions revisited

If you’re like the majority of people, you’re probably thinking about making a New Year’s resolution. From losing weight to getting organized, spending less/saving more, and enjoying life to the fullest (last year’s top four resolutions), we often make grand plans every January.

When I was a kid, the only time I wasn’t told to go to bed early was during New Year’s Eve when my parents would stay up till midnight with a few of their friends who had been invited over for the celebrations. I also remember the first time my father asked me to make a new years resolution.

Making a resolution and promising oneself to improve some aspect of you from the first day of the year is a New Years tradition like no other. One of the highest made resolutions come every New Years is to start paying attention to your fitness and diet.
