GORKHA, June 17: A rare 'Tame' pangolin species has been found in the Phalate area of Gandaki Rural Municipality in Gorkha district, on Friday. This species of pangolin is reported to be on the verge of extinction in the world.

Pangolin, the world’s most trafficked mammal, is shy and nocturnal in nature. It curls-up and becomes stationary when it sees other animals, humans or any objects. Usually at dark, because of its peculiar behaviors, there have been increased incidents of pangolins being stumped by heavy vehicles likes trucks, where these vehicles travel round the clock to and from Katari through Lekhani of Udayapur district.

CHARIKOT, Oct 9: Dolakha Police have arrested two people along with pangolin scales. Arjun Devkota, 23, and Saurabh Gole, 19, of Kamalamai municipality-3 in Sindhuli were arrested along with pangolin scales weighing 2.9 kilos.
