KATHMANDU, Aug 26: The Nepal Insurance Authority (NIA) has permitted eight insurers to issue right shares after the companies failed to raise their paid-up capital in line with the threshold prescribed by the authority.

KATHMANDU, April 26: Most of the insurance companies have sought to issue right shares in order to raise their capital base that has been made mandatory by the Insurance Board (IB).

KATHMANDU, July 25: The Securities Board of Nepal (Sebon) has recommended to the Ministry of Finance to fix a paid-up capital requirement of up to Rs 1 billion for new brokerage firms to get a license.
